Terms of Use
Terms of Use
Welcome to Online Text Editor. By creating an account, accessing authenticated features, subscribing to plans, or using AI features, you accept these Terms of Use and the applicable Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. Account, registration, and acceptance
Some parts of the site may be accessed without an account, but saving documents, syncing a workspace, using authenticated features, accessing plan limits, and purchasing subscriptions require registration. During registration, acceptance of these Terms supports the data processing needed to operate the authenticated service.
This acceptance is not unlimited permission for any marketing tracking or non-essential collection. Telemetry, cookies, analytics, and observability follow the Privacy Policy and the governance rule applicable to anonymous or authenticated state.
You are responsible for keeping credentials secure, using accurate information, and notifying us if you notice unauthorized account access.
2. Your content and intellectual property
You keep the rights to texts, documents, notes, files, and other content you create or upload. By using the platform, you authorize us to process that content only as needed to save, edit, convert, export, share, protect, and deliver the features you request.
The interface, brand, code, design, flows, public documentation, and components of Online Text Editor belong to the product or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use the platform to violate laws, third-party rights, privacy, intellectual property, security systems, antifraud policies, or the product's technical limits.
You must not use converters, link transcription, OCR, AI, or any platform feature for piracy, plagiarism, unauthorized reproduction, improper redistribution, or content that violates copyright, publicity rights, third-party platform terms, or permissions from the original creator.
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access in cases of abuse, security risk, attempts to bypass plan or rate limits, improper automation, illegal content, or breach of these Terms.
4. AI, converters, and external processing
AI, OCR, transcription, conversion, summary, translation, SEO, and workspace-question features may send prompts, documents, notes, preferences, files, or content excerpts to external providers such as OpenAI/LLM provider, OCR.Space, Stirling PDF, and Cloudinary, depending on the feature used.
When transcribing links, audio, video, images, or PDFs, you represent that you have the necessary rights or creator authorization to process the content and use the resulting text. Commercial use of transcribed text requires an appropriate license, ownership, or permission.
AI or converter outputs may include errors, omissions, incorrect interpretations, formatting loss, or content unsuitable for your purpose. You must review outputs before publishing, sending, signing, filing, or making decisions based on them.
Do not enter highly sensitive data, trade secrets, credentials, or critical medical, legal, or financial information when you cannot accept the processing needed for the selected feature.
5. Third parties, payments, and emails
The product depends on third parties for authentication, hosting, database/cache, payments, AI, media, analytics, observability, logs, and email. The Privacy Policy lists the minimum public inventory of these subprocessors and their purposes.
Payments, checkout, customer portal, subscriptions, and webhooks are processed by Stripe. Subscription benefits follow the purchased plan and may depend on technical availability, usage limits, and antifraud rules.
When you request email sharing, such as weekly agenda sharing, sender data, recipient data, content, and generated attachments may be sent through related email and processing providers.
6. Subscriptions, cancellation, and plan limits
Paid plans, limits, prices, and features may change as communicated in the product or pricing page. Unless required by law or expressly stated at checkout, cancellations stop future renewal and keep access until the end of the paid cycle.
We may apply quotas, rate limits, abuse blocks, and plan gating in both frontend and backend. Attempts to bypass these controls may result in suspension.
7. Privacy, retention, and rights
The Privacy Policy explains which data we process, for which purposes, with which third parties, for how long in general terms, and which rights may be requested. These Terms incorporate that Policy by reference.
The product now offers authenticated data export and a formal account deletion request flow inside account settings. Full completion of deletion and certain portability scenarios may still depend on later operational handling across external vendors.
Questions, complaints, and disputes related to personal data, telemetry, or third-party use also follow the contact channel below, with the option to request a formal review in the same thread.
8. Availability and limitation of liability
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, complete absence of errors, unlimited history preservation, compatibility with every file, or fitness for a specific professional use.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, decisions made based on generated content, third-party failures, network unavailability, deletion performed by the user, or use that violates these Terms.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms when the product, plans, vendors, legal requirements, or operational rules change. Material changes may be communicated in the product or by email when applicable.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, subject to mandatory consumer protection and data protection rules that may apply to your case.
